The first Euro Millions lotto draw took place in Febuary 2004 with only France, Spain and the UK. Now the participating countries also include - Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal, Switzerland, France, Spain, England, Ireland and Portugal.
The Euro Millions jackpot prize starts at €15 million and increases with each draw until a winner is found. The jackpot can continue to rollover for twelve weeks, at which point, by law, the lotto must be won. If no winner is found on the twelth week, the prize fund is distributed among the lower prizes.
Draws take place each Tuesday and Friday in Paris, France, at 21:30 (Central European Time) and are broadcast on television stations across Europe.
